This slab was brought in from California by a woodworker friend of mine and it was already quite old when he got it. I bought it from him in 1986. This is pure rough cut. S urface sanded top. I took the bark off and put a polyurethane finish on the top (I'm a professional finisher) but that is as far as I took this project. This slab is edge relief sanded. Just needs a base. Obviously it will make a beautiful dining/kitchen table, coffee table, countertop, store display and even perhaps a desk! Nothing about this slab is straight line perfect. This slab is sealed at the end grain. This slab is dry and ready for your one of a kind project. The chair next to the slab is 42" tall. I just put it in the photo for perspective.
